alison wormell

Picture
​Alison Wormell (they/them) is an Australian bassoonist who is driven by storytelling and connecting with new audiences. Their creative practice spans solo, orchestral and chamber music, alongside producing short films that showcase the connection between classical music and nature.

Alison has performed across the UK, the Nordics, Europe and Australia. They have a particular connection to the Lapland Chamber Orchestra in Finland as Acting Principal Bassoon but have also held extended contracts with the Tasmanian Symphony and Opera Australia Orchestras. A graduate of the Royal College of Music, Alison lives in the south of England and enjoys cycling and bird-watching.
