Based in London, recent performances of flutist Pedro Lopez include concerts in recognized concert halls of Europe, such as Het Concertgebouw Chamber Hall and St-Martin-in-the-Fields among others. After graduating at Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Aragon and Trinity Laban Conservatorie of Music and Dance in London, he graduated at the Royal College of Music, where he was awarded with the Artist Diploma. Pedro has been a member of the Southbank Sinfonia and has been invited to collaborate with orchestras such as London Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Oslo Opera, Academy of St Martin in the Fields and BBC Concert Orchestra. Previous orchestral training include the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE), Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra (YMSO), Orchestra "Neue Musike" de Bolzano/Bozen and "Camerata Aragon" Chamber orchestra. He has been awarded twice with the 'Ibercaja Prize' competition for young musicians and has been a scholar of the Tillet Trust, TLC Trust and the Leverhulme Trust. His chamber music group 'Trio Vasnier' (flute, viola and harp) has been awarded with the 1st Prize and the Critics Prize at the 'El Primer Palau' Chamber music Competition. He also plays regularly with different formations such as woodwind quintet or flute duo. Recent highlights are performances at Het Concertebouw Kleine Zaal, Royal Opera House Crush Room, St-Martin-in-the-Fields, St John's Smith Square, Barbican, Queen Elisabeth Hall and Oxford University.
