Corran Quartet
Corran Quartet are a young, exciting, up and coming String Quartet based in London.
After forming in 2019, they began studying intensively with James Boyd and Catherine Manson through MusicWorks.
Since then, they had the pleasure of performing in a variety of venues from Fidelio Cafe to live on BBC Radio 3's 'In Tune'. In 2021 they were chosen as Buxton International Festival's Inaugural Chamber Ensemble 2021, Chamber Lab through Britten Pears Young Artist Programme and were granted a place on Chamber Studio with mentorship from Simon Rowland-Jones.
Following the devastation the Coronavirus crisis caused in Care homes, the quartet decided to become a member of SoundUp Arts, an organisation that specialises in developing programmes for people with dementia. As such, they are looking forward to embarking on a project to play for as many people as possible in various Care Homes in England.
