We are delighted to host a moving photography exhibition, the conclusion of a year-long community project by The Islington Storyteller, a local blog.
Through the collaborative efforts of enthusiastic contributors, this exhibition brings back to life precious snapshots found at the Islington Local History Centre and provides historical context on the rich visual history of our neighbourhood.
Launching in the leadup to the 2023 Islington Festival of Music and Art, the exhibition will stay open throughout the festival’s duration and is free to attend. When the festival concludes, the exhibits will find a new home at the Islington Local History Centre until October. The images and historical notes produced for the project will be donated to the History Centre archives. As the exhibition approaches, check out this interactive map and see The Islington Storyteller for more information on all things local.
