Yoga Class with live Cello Experience 75 minutes of flowing yoga set against a backdrop of a live cellist. This experience will explore how sound, breath and movement weave together, shifting energy and creating a sense of deep calm and connection. A truly beautiful and unique experience and suitable for all experience and abilities. The class will close with a long rest (or Savasana), allowing the music to drift over and soothe you. There is an opportunity following the class to gather in the ARC cafe and enjoy a drink or lunch with friends. 245 St John St, London EC1V 4NB Open House Event: Thérèse Lessore and the Circus A graduate of the Slade School of Art and founding member of The London Group, Thérèse Lessore may be one of the most prolific modern artists you have never heard of. Designed to coincide with the artist’s 140th birthday, Thérèse Lessore and the Circus is an open-house event at Islington Museum showcasing some of the artist’s best-known circus paintings which record her experience of attending Islington’s New World’s Fair Circus in the 1920s and 1930s. Historian Jason Price will be on hand to shed light on Lessore’s remarkable life and career, as well as some of the circus acts depicted in her paintings. The event will take place from 2.30 to 4.30pm, with short talks at 3 & 4pm. Free entry. |

Postcards From Home A rare chance to hear this journey live, documenting the travels of 3 musicians from the different backgrounds of Indian music, Western Classical & Jazz, - the result is a captivating instrumental collaboration which blends the different sound worlds to create a truly organic whole. The three 'adventurers' are all highly respected in their own territories and in this concert, they explore compositional styles, traditions and performance etiquette. With a unique palette of sounds, they search for common meeting points and launch pads for improvisational templates and a new repertoire inspired by places including Paris, Goa, Tibet, Brazil, Morocco and the Scottish island of Harris. Yoga Class with Harp Sound Bath Join us for a special class where gentle yoga will combine with the hypnotic sound of the live Harp. This experience creates a space for moving inwards, to tap into our deeper selves as we individually and collectively become one with the music. Allow the Harpist to take you on a journey, as the melody gently moves through you, bringing a sense of relaxation, releasing tension and restoring balance to all of your being. The class will close in a series of floor-based Yin poses (fully supported with props), before moving into a long rest (Savasana) while the Harp music gently washes over you. There is an opportunity following the class to gather in the ARC cafe and enjoy a drink or lunch with friends.
